FROM THE SHELVES OF SOUNDSCAPE STUDIO is named after the mid-town Manhattan studio where the wealth of this beloved band's material was recorded in the early to mid-90s. This compilation of early Rooks material (1990-1996) features strikingly different versions and alternate takes of cherished Rooks favorites such as REASONS, BETTER START RIGHT NOW and STEEPLECHASE.

18 classic Rooks recordings from a totally different perspective! These unique recordings allows the listener to be the proverbial fly-on-the-wall if you will, as note after note reveals how these much beloved Rooks songs came to life. It's an entirely new way to experience your favorite Rooks songs and rediscover them from a cool and inviting angle.
