I had a dream. In a far-flung Shangri-la woodland, I walked alone. What seemed away a country mile, I saw fire. A sky-high, phosphorescent bonfire. One that did not produce heat. But, one that did draw harmony. Around the pyre, an assembly of old and young held hands, singing. I closed in.
As they cantillated, one of them waved me closer. I did not lend my voice as I felt it was not my place. The singsong words they used were Ouh lai rainja, Ouh lai rainja, Ouh lai rainja, Ouh.
Then a young woman approached saying "Our chant means we triumph in spirit and song."
In that instance, I suddenly felt free of burden and fully enlightened.. Completely awash in immunity to misfortune.
Then I awoke to the cold facts of my real world. That is exactly how DRAG OF THE MONTH was written.
lyrics
DRAG OF THE MONTH
(Words & music by Michael Mazzarella)
Ouh lai rainja, Ouh lai rainja, Ouh lai rainja, Ouh
Educate, contemplate, concentrate
Free me now
Celebrate, illustrate, meditate
Free me now
Congregate, advocate, innovate
Free me now
Radiate, levitate, demonstrate
Free me now
Have good heart
Please start without me if you can
I went wrong keep strong and have me as I am
Moderate, graduate, liberate
Free me now
Fascinate, orchestrate, overstate
Free me now
Designate, renovate, illuminate
Free me now
Dedicate, mediate, delegate
Free me now
Ouh lai rainja, Ouh lai rainja, Ouh lai rainja, Ouh
