GIRL CRIED NICO was inspired by a European magazine article I read revealing the antics of Christa Paffgen. The inimitable Nico icon to those hip to the scene.

In the story, a friend of hers was describing a kind of typical week with Nico. Coke, paranoia, eccentricity at play. It's a drug song really, and to how low those abuses can take you. Sort of my day-in-the-life with Nico based solely on that one article.

It's anyone's guess if the story was accurate or just a nice piece of fiction.
